Last year, Alexa Demie released first solo, Girl Like Me. Alexa Demie songs depicted the sultry old glam of Hollywood nights out in the music video.
The same year, she opened for JSMN in his European Tour. She attained the musical inspiration from Sade, Astrud Gilberto, Yma Sumac, Amy Winehouse, Minnie Riperton, Bloodstone and Ralfi Pagan.
“What motivates me to make music is a feeling. I write what I feel; I write to tell a story, and if it evokes anything at all in someone listening, that makes me happy. One of the most memorable aspects of my career so far is that I’m finally working with musicians that completely understand what I’m trying to create.
She added,
It took a long time for everything to align, but I believe it all happens in divine time when you’re ready for it. Also, performing live for the first time and seeing how people respond to it is rewarding”.
Before singing, she invested in action movies such as Miles, Brigsby Bear and Mid90s. Also, Alexa Demie starred in TV shows- Ray Donovan, The OA, and Love. Now, she is gearing up for Waves and Euphoria in 2018 and 2019 consecutively.
Besides all this, she’s a designer as well as she has designed her own sunglasses. Her goggles have been worn by famous celebs including Jennifer Lopez and Safaree Samuels‘ former partner Nicki Minaj.
At the moment, Alexa is busy in the filming of a new movie, Waves. the movie is set to release in January 2020.
In like manner, Alexa is also producing her first feature film based on her mother’s life. The movie will go around amakeup artist who immigrated from Mexico to LA as a baby. The actress herself will play her mother.
