Madison served as a BSU band graduate assistant from 2019 to 2021 while earning his master’s degree in conducting.
He was a dedicated member of the BSU staff and a tremendous asset to the BSU Band program. Madison’s sense of humor and boundless energy were contagious.
For the past 2.5 years, Madison has taught in the public schools in Texas and Georgia. Wheeler’s music program includes the Wildcat Pride Marching Band, three large ensemble sections, a color guard, a drumline, a jazz band, and a pep band. He also performed with the Cobb Wind Symphony and the Emory Wind Ensemble, among other musical education organizations.
Last February, his Wheeler High School band parents and students hosted our wind ensemble when we were in Georgia for the CBDNA National Conference. Madison’s spirit will live on through his students, colleagues, and friends.
