What gave his career his much needed boost was when he was hired as Saturday Night Live and in turn a cast member.

The year was 2011, the location was Saturday Night Live, and the city was New York. The actual event was a final night for SNL and Sudeikis actually said they hit it off immediately. The moment he heard she was dating so he decided to play it cool and hang around while playing the long game. He basically waited, yeah it was nothing excited, he just kept himself extremely busy until he got up one day and she was single. After that it re-entered and it all took off from there. While Jason may have felt cool with him playing it cool, Olivia wasn’t too amused. She was quite taken aback that he hadn’t asked her for her number and he seemed to be quite laid back about her.
One of his friends had to literally walk up to him and say, “Here’s Olivia’s number. Use it.” This marked the start of their beautiful relationship, now not only do they share a life together, but they have a child together.
